Etwa jede zehnte inhaftierte Person sitzt eine Ersatzfreiheitsstrafe ab. Die Ersatzfreiheitsstrafe betrifft Menschen, gegen die Geldstrafen verh\u00e4ngt wurden, die diese Geldstrafe aber nicht zahlen k\u00f6nnen. Deswegen m\u00fcssen Menschen h\u00e4ufig wegen Schwarzfahrens oder Ladendiebstahls in einem Selbstbedienungsladen ins Gef\u00e4ngnis. J\u00fcngst hat Nicole B\u00f6gelein in ihrem Artikel „Ersatzfreiheitsstrafe – Eine entbehrliche Sanktionsma\u00dfnahme<\/a>“ in den vor<\/strong>g\u00e4ngen<\/em> Nr. 243 zum Thema Kritische Kriminalpolitik<\/em><\/a> (in diesem Heft haben wir uns insgesamt mit der Notwendigkeit einer Entr\u00fcmpelung des Strafrechts besch\u00e4ftigt) gegen die Ersatzfreiheitsstrafe argumentiert.<\/p>\n

Wir kommen zu dem Ergebnis, dass damit Armut bestraft wird und dies, wie es Ronen Steinke formulierte<\/a>, Klassenjustiz ist.
