Januar 2026<\/h3>\n<p>Auch 2026 wollen die Stadt Marburg und die Humanistische Union Marburg wieder das \u201eMarburger Leuchtfeuer f\u00fcr Soziale B\u00fcrgerrechte\u201c an einen geeigneten Preistr\u00e4ger oder eine geeignete Preistr\u00e4gerin verleihen. Vorschl\u00e4ge nimmt die Jury bis zum 31. Januar 2026 entgegen.<\/p>\n<p>Die vorgeschlagene Person sollte eine Verbindung zu Marburg haben und sich in herausragender Weise f\u00fcr soziale B\u00fcrgerrechte eingesetzt haben. Die Auszeichnung wird im Fr\u00fchjahr oder Sommer im Historischen Saal des Marburger Rathauses \u00fcbergeben.<\/p>\n<p>Die letzte Preistr\u00e4gerin war 2025 die Sozial-Aktivistin Helena Steinhaus. Gew\u00fcrdigt hat die Jury ihr Engagement f\u00fcr eine angstfreie Grundsicherung, das seinen Niederschlag in der Gr\u00fcndung des Vereins \u201eSanktionsfrei\u201c gefunden hat. Laudator war der B\u00fcrgerrechtler Arne Semsrott.<\/p>\n<p>2024 hatten Stadt und HU den Behinderten-Aktivisten Ottmar Miles-Paul mit dem \u201eMarburger Leuchtfeuer\u201c ausgezeichnet. Die Laudatio auf ihn hat die damalige rheinland-pf\u00e4lzische Ministerpr\u00e4sidentin Malu Dreyer gehalten, die wenige Tage sp\u00e4ter ihren R\u00fccktritt angek\u00fcndigt hat.<\/p>\n<p>Stadt und HU Marburg vergeben die undotierte Auszeichnung seit 2005.
