Brauchen Sie zum Geburtstag keine Geschenke von Freundinnen und Freunden und wollen Sie etwas für die Bürgerrechte tun? Dann bitten Sie doch Ihre Gäste statt Geschenken um eine Spende an die Humanistische Union. Der Anwalt und langjährige HU-Vorsitzende Till Müller-Heidelberg wandte sich mit folgenden Worten an seine Gäste:<\/p>\n
„Liebe Freunde, bitte schenkt mir nichts zum Geburtstag, ich habe schon alles, was ich gebrauchen kann. Wenn ihr mir eine Freude machen wollt, gebt eine Spende an die Humanistische Union. Sie ist gemeinnützig und ihr erhaltet eine Spendenquittung. Wie ihr wisst, engagiere ich mich seit vielen Jahren für diese Bürgerrechtsorganisation, die sich für unsere Grund- und Freiheitsrechte einsetzt, gegen Bevormundung durch Staat oder Kirchen, gegen Überwachung, für Rechtsstaat und Demokratie, und die das Menschenbild des Grundgesetzes hoch hält: der freie, selbstbewusste und selbstbestimmte Bürger mit Rückgrat, von dem unsere freiheitliche Gesellschaft lebt.<\/i>“<\/p>\n
Damit hat er der HU zweifach geholfen: es kommen auf diesem Weg schnell mehrere hundert Euro für die Bürgerrechte zusammen und er hat Freunde und Familie über unsere Arbeit informiert. Vielen Dank!<\/p>\n
