Im Anschluss an das Gustav-Heinemann-Forum fand am 21.-22. Juni 2014 der Verbandstag der Humanistischen Union statt. Ein wesentlicher Bestandteil waren die Berichte aus den Regionalgruppen, die im Folgenden abgedruckt werden, sofern wir sie schriftlich erhalten haben. Zwei Anträge wurden gestellt: Von Franz-Josef Hanke zur Unterstützung der Petition „Rettet 2254!“ (s.u., der Antrag wurde von den Anwesenden befürwortet), sowie von Helga Killinger zum Sterbepass (siehe weiter unten; es wurde darum gebeten, den Antrag weiter auszuformulieren, was in der Zwischenzeit geschehen ist). Außerdem gab es Kurzberichte aus Vorstands-, Geschäftsstellen- und Kampagnenarbeit.
