Das Thema <\/h2>\n

Die neuen Kommunikationstechnologien verändern unsere Gesellschaft. Durch Internetplattformen wie Facebook, Google, Twitter & Co. verschiebt sich die Grenzlinie zwischen privatem und öffentlichem Bereich. In der digitalen Welt können die Menschen kaum noch wissen geschweige denn kontrollieren, wer was über sie weiß. Wie ist diese Entwicklung zu beurteilen? Kann und soll die Gesellschaft versuchen, auch in der digitalen Welt einen Bereich des Persönlichen zu schützen? Unter dem Etikett „Post-Privacy“ versammeln sich seit einigen Jahren Netzaktivisten, die die Idee von Privatheit für veraltet halten. Anstatt den Datenschutz krampfhaft zu verteidigen, solle man sich lieber auf die Potenziale konzentrieren, die eine freie Kommunikation im Internet bietet. Besorgte Datenschützer widersprechen vehement. Sie befürchten, dass durch den Kontrollverlust über persönliche Daten auch die persönliche Freiheit und Autonomie bedroht sind.  
Auf der Veranstaltung soll das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Privatheit und digitaler Kommunikation kontrovers diskutiert werden. Dabei wird es insbesondere um die Fragen gehen, welche Idee von Privatheit für das digitale Zeitalter angemessen ist und wie Privatheit wirksam im Internet geschützt werden kann.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Marion Albers (Universität Hamburg)
<\/i>Prof. Dr. Marion Albers ist Inhaberin des Lehrstuhls für Öffentliches Recht, Informations- und Kommunikationsrecht, Gesundheitsrecht und Rechtstheorie an der Universität Hamburg. Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind u.a. Kommunikations- und Informationsrecht, insbesondere Datenschutz-, Informationszugangs- und Internetrecht.<\/p>\n

Nils Leopold (Humanistische Union)
<\/i>Nils Leopold ist Jurist und Mitglied des Bundesvorstandes der Bürgerrechtsvereinigung Humanistischen Union. Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind innere Sicherheit und Datenschutz. Nils Leopold ist Mitarbeiter des Bundestagsabgeordneten Konstantin von Notz (Die Grünen).   <\/p>\n

Jürgen Geuter (Spackeria)
<\/i>Jürgen Geuter ist Diplom-Informatiker und Mitglied der datenschutzkritischen Vereinigung Spackeria. Seine Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind Dezentralisierung, Post-Privacy und Ethik fürs Digitale. Unter dem Namen „tante“ betreibt er einen Blog zu netzpolitischen Themen (http:\/\/the-gay-bar.com\/<\/a>). Jürgen Geuter arbeitet am Department für Informatik an der Universität Oldenburg.   <\/p>\n
