Weltweit hungert eine Milliarde Menschen. Konflikte über die Nutzung von Land haben in den letzten Jahren drastisch zugenommen. Ebenso gestiegen ist die Instabilität von Nahrungsmittelpreisen. In den meisten Fällen ist Hunger politisch gemacht. Deshalb fordern immer mehr Menschen die Anerkennung des Menschenrechts auf Nahrung als Korrektiv gegen die Macht von Eliten, Konzernen und Spekulanten.<\/p>\n
Das FoodFirst Informations- und Aktionsnetzwerk (FIAN) unterstützt seit 25 Jahren Menschen, die für ihr Recht auf Nahrung kämpfen. Dabei fordert FIAN von Regierungen und Unternehmen – auch den deutschen – die Einhaltung ihrer menschenrechtlichen Verpflichtungen ein.<\/p>\n
Anhand vieler Beispiele wird im Rahmen der Veranstaltung mit der FIAN-Geschäftsführerin Ute Hausmann deutlich, warum Menschenrechte ein unverzichtbarer Bestandteil im Kampf gegen den Hunger sind.<\/p>\n
Veranstalter sind neben dem Marburger Weltladen<\/a> die Humanistische Union Marburg <\/a>sowie die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Arbeit und Leben.
