Die Laudatio auf die beiden \u00c4rztinnen wird die ehemalige Bundestagspr\u00e4sidentin Prof. Dr. Rita S\u00fcssmuth halten. Die \u00dcbergabe der Auszeichnung erfolgt am 9. Juli 2019 um 15 Uhr im Historischen Saal des Marburger Rathauses.<\/p>\n<p>Erstmals w\u00fcrdigt die Jury damit ausnahmsweise zwei Personen in einem Jahr. Mit dieser Doppelvergabe m\u00f6chte sie auf die Doppelmoral im Umgang mit menschlichem Leben hinweisen: W\u00e4hrend H\u00e4nel f\u00fcr ihren Einsatz f\u00fcr den freien Zugang zur Information \u00fcber Schwangerschaftsabbr\u00fcche geehrt wird, erh\u00e4lt Hartbrich die undotierte Auszeichnung f\u00fcr ihren ehrenamtlichen Einsatz auf dem Rettungsschiff &#8222;Sea Watch&#8220; im Mittelmeer. Beide \u00c4rztinnen mussten f\u00fcr ihr Engagement Beschimpfungen und Bedrohungen hinnehmen.
