(OK) Peter Henkel variierte Descartes‘ berühmte Maxime: „Ich brauche ihn, also ist er“<\/i> sei die Devise aller Gutgläubigen. Warum die sich auf keine Diskussion über Gott einlassen, sondern sich unter Hinweis auf „Religion ist privat“ ins wahlweise Gottes- oder geistiges Schneckenhaus zurückziehen, war ein wichtiges Thema von Henkels Vortrag und Lesung aus „Irrtum unser“, das brandneu zur Buchmesse im Marburger Tectum Verlag erschienen ist.<\/p>\n
Moderator Peter Menne erläuterte, warum die Humanistische Union den erklärten Atheisten eingeladen hat: Religiöse aller Couleur fordern Respekt für ihre Glaubensvorstellungen ein. Doch umgekehrt respektieren sie kaum die anderen (Glaubens-)Fraktionen und eigentlich nie die, die gottlos glücklich sind.<\/p>\n
Das gilt nicht nur für afghanische Taliban und Burka-Fetischisten: Menne zitierte den hpd, wie an einer englischen Uni der Stand einer säkularen Studenteninitiative geräumt wurde, bloß weil die an ihrem Stand eine Ananas mit Namen „Mohammed“ aufgestellt hatte. Auch in Deutschland wird die Meinungs- und Pressefreiheit von den finanziell bestens gerüsteten Großorganisationen Kirche gerne angegriffen. Amüsiert reichte das Publikum die Postkarten mit dem Vatileaks-Cover einer Satire-Zeitschrift weiter. Dass „die undichte Stelle gefunden“<\/i> ist, hat Papst Ratzinger ihr per einstweiliger Verfügung verbieten lassen. Als die Hauptverhandlung anstand, machte Ratzinger einen Rückzieher.<\/p>\n
Angesichts von Machtfülle und verfassungswidriger staatlicher Finanzierung der Kirchen sei es nötig, zum Schutze unserer Freiheit über religiöse Denkgebäude aufzuklären, so Peter Menne. Der Referent Peter Henkel leistete das in klar strukturiertem Vortrag. Er erläuterte, wie Gläubige das Ergebnis von Kants langem Nachdenken heute zum Ausgangspunkt nehmen, um eigenes Nachdenken gar nicht erst zu beginnen. Denn Kant kam auf der Höhe seines Forschungsstandes zum Schluss, dass es weder beweisbar sei, dass ein Gott existiert – noch dass dessen Nicht-Existenz beweisbar sei. Das wandelten heutige Gläubige zum Mantra, auch Atheisten würden ja an etwas glauben. Henkel erläuterte, mit welchem Trugschluß so eine Aussage zustande kommt. Dabei bezog er sich aber ausdrücklich nicht auf den ganz abstrakten, „leeren“ Gottesbegriff Kants (aufgrunddessen die Kirche seine Schriften auf den Index setzte), sondern auf das Gottesbild der Christen, Moslems, Juden, wonach ihr Jehova (Allah, Jahwe…) seine Schöpfung liebe, in sie eingreife und persönlich mit seinen Geschöpfen in Kontakt trete (ohne je seine Telefonnummer zu hinterlassen).<\/p>\n
