Oktober 2023, hat die B\u00fcrgerrechtsorganisation Humanistische Union (HU) den diesj\u00e4hrigen Fritz-Bauer-Preis an die Beschwerdef\u00fchrenden der Verfassungsbeschwerden gegen das Klimaschutzgesetz verliehen. Die Preisverleihung fand im Residenzschloss Rastatt statt, unweit von Karlsruhe, wo die Beschwerdef\u00fchrenden vor dem Bundesverfassungsgericht <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bverfg.de\/e\/rs20210324_1bvr265618.html\">geklagt hatten<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mit dem Fritz-Bauer-Preis w\u00fcrdigte die Humanistische Union herausragende Verdienste um die Humanisierung, Liberalisierung und Demokratisierung des Rechtswesens. Der ideelle Preis wird im Gedenken an Dr. Fritz Bauer, den 1968 verstorbenen hessischen Generalstaatsanwalt und Mitbegr\u00fcnder der Humanistischen Union verliehen. Er hat nicht nur ma\u00dfgeblich zur juristischen Verfolgung und Aufarbeitung der nationalsozialistischen Verbrechen beigetragen, sondern wichtige Impulse f\u00fcr die Modernisierung des Strafrechts und die Humanisierung des Strafvollzugs gegeben. Der nach ihm benannte Preis wurde von der Humanistischen Union im Juli 1968, zwei Wochen nach dem Tod Fritz Bauers, gestiftet. Zu den bisherigen Preistr\u00e4gern geh\u00f6rten u.a. Gustav Heinemann (1970), Peggy Parnass (1980), G\u00fcnter Grass (1998), Regine Hildebrandt (2000), Burkhard Hirsch (2006), Edward J.
