Eine Aktionslesung mit Diskussion zum Kriminalroman Z\u00fcndeln an den Strukturen<\/em> veranstaltet die Humanistische Union Marburg<\/a> am Donnerstag (2. Mai). Autor Ottmar Miles-Paul spricht dabei \u00fcber die Situation in Werkst\u00e4tten f\u00fcr behinderte Menschen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miles-Paul berichtet nicht nur t\u00e4glich im Online-Nachrichtendienst kobinet-nachrichten<\/em><\/a> \u00fcber aktuelle Entwicklungen zur Behindertenpolitik. Er ist zudem Tr\u00e4ger des Bundesverdienstkreuzes und des Carl-von-Ossietzky-Preises der Internationalen Liga f\u00fcr Menschenrechte. Ihm verdankt die „Aktion Mensch“ die Namens\u00e4nderung von der einstigen „Aktion Sorgenkind“ und die deutsche Behindertenbewegung unter Anderem Organisationen wie die ISL sowie Europa den Europ\u00e4ischen Protesttag zur Gleichstellung von Menschen mit Behinderung am 5. Mai.<\/p>\n

Nun hat der 59-j\u00e4hrige Seh- und H\u00f6rbehinderte seinen ersten Roman mit dem Titel Z\u00fcndeln an den Strukturen<\/em> ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Damit \u201ebefeuert\u201c er im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes die aktuelle Diskussion um die l\u00e4ngst \u00fcberf\u00e4llige Reform des Systems der Werkst\u00e4tten f\u00fcr behinderte Menschen (WfBM). Denn anhand einer Brandstiftung in einer Werkstatt geht der Roman der Frage nach: Was w\u00e4re, wenn es keine Werkstatt f\u00fcr behinderte Menschen mehr g\u00e4be? Welche anderen Besch\u00e4ftigungsm\u00f6glichkeiten auf dem allgemeinen Arbeitsmarkt w\u00e4ren m\u00f6glich?<\/p>\n

Am Donnerstag (2. Mai) stellt Ottmar Miles-Paul seinen im August 2023 erschienenen Roman im Hotel Vila Vita Rosenpark auf Einladung der Humanistischen Union Marburg zusammen mit seiner Leseassistenz Sabine Lohner vor. Die Veranstaltung findet im Zusammenhang mit dem Europ\u00e4ischen Protesttag f\u00fcr die Gleichstellung behinderter Menschen und mit Unterst\u00fctzung durch die Aktion Mensch statt.<\/p>\n

\u201eSie haben es tats\u00e4chlich getan und sind selbst \u00fcberrascht, dass sie zu einer solchen Tat f\u00e4hig waren. Bestimmt hunderte Male hatten sie mit wachsender Frustration durchgespielt, wie sie sich gegen die Ungerechtigkeiten in der Werkstatt f\u00fcr behinderte Menschen wehren k\u00f6nnen. Nun haben Helen Weber und ihre beiden Freunde das Werkstattgeb\u00e4ude in Brand gesetzt\u201c, hei\u00dft es im Klappentext des Reportage-Romans.<\/p>\n

Weiter hei\u00dft es dort: \u201eWie kam es zu dieser Brandstiftung? Kommen Helen Weber und ihre Freunde mit dieser Tat davon? Und was wird nun in der Praxis aus dem theoretischen Gedankenspiel \u201aWas w\u00e4re m\u00f6glich, wenn es keine Werkstatt f\u00fcr behinderte Menschen in unsrer Stadt g\u00e4be\u2018? Katrin Grund, eine junge Volont\u00e4rin der Lokalzeitung, ist aufgrund ihrer Schlaflosigkeit schnell an der Brandstelle. Bei der Brandstiftung wittert sie eine gr\u00f6\u00dfere Story und hofft, damit endlich in der Redaktion Fu\u00df fassen zu k\u00f6nnen. Sie beginnt \u00fcber das System der Werkst\u00e4tten f\u00fcr behinderte Menschen zu recherchieren. Dabei lernt sie die Enthinderungsgruppe kennen. Deren Mitglieder setzen sich f\u00fcr Inklusion und den Abbau von Barrieren ein. So entstehen Freundschaften, aber auch Verirrungen und Verwirrungen.\u201c<\/p>\n
