Walter Schaffartzik gab auf der Tagung einen Werkstattbericht zu Sterbefragen im station&auml;ren Umfeld. Anhand zahlreicher Fallbeispiele verdeutlichte er die Probleme der &Auml;rzte beim Sterben im Krankenhaus:&nbsp;Die Einweisung auf die Intensivstation sei h&auml;ufig der erste Kontakt zwischen Arzt und Patient. Als behandelnder Arzt habe man daher keine Ahnung vom mutma&szlig;lichen Behandlungswillen der Patienten und k&ouml;nne auch die Stellungnahmen der Angeh&ouml;rigen kaum einordnen. Bei den vorgelegten Patientenverf&uuml;gungen w&uuml;rden teilweise pauschale Behandlungsverbote ausgesprochen, die Bewertung der aktuellen Behandlungssituation k&ouml;nne davon jedoch erheblich abweichen. Die gr&ouml;&szlig;te Rechtsunsicherheit f&uuml;r die &Auml;rzte entstehe jedoch, weil die behandelnden Mediziner (zum Teil unter Zeitdruck) ex ante entscheiden m&uuml;ssten, wohingegen sich Angeh&ouml;rige, &Auml;rztekammern und Gerichte ex post lang dar&uuml;ber&nbsp;austauschen k&ouml;nnen, welche Behandlung in der Situation geboten gewesen sei und welche nicht.<br \/>\nHerr Schaffartzik schlug deshalb die st&auml;rkere Einbindung von Angeh&ouml;rigen und Juristen in den &auml;rztlichen Entscheidungsprozess vor.
