Sehr geehrte Oberbürgermeisterin Frau Roth, sehr geehrter Herr Frank,<\/p>\n

mit Entsetzen haben wir der Zeitung entnommen, dass Sie die Blockupy-Aktionen zu verbieten versuchen. Die Humanistische Union fordert Sie auf, die angemeldeten Demonstrationen zu genehmigen und bei der Polizei darauf hinzuwirken, dass in den vier Tagen eine Deeskalationsstrategie praktiziert wird.<\/p>\n

Rechtlich sind die Demonstrationsverbote sicher nicht haltbar: dazu sind Meinungs- und Versammlungsfreiheit zu zentrale Güter. Das ist es, was uns von russischen Verhältnissen à la Wladimir Putin unterscheidet. Auch wenn eine friedliche Blockade der EZB geplant wird: spätestens seit den Mutlangen-Urteilen ist klar, dass auch das zu den legitimen demokratischen Ausdrucksformen gehört.<\/p>\n

Auf den ersten Blick mag das für eine Bank kontraproduktiv erscheinen – doch woran liegt es, dass die Produktivität in Deutschland ungleich höher als z.B. in Rußland liegt? Der Zusammenhang mit demokratischer Kultur, insbesondere dem Recht auf friedlichen Protest, erscheint uns offensichtlich.<\/p>\n

„Meinungsfreiheit ist immer die Freiheit des Andersdenkenden“<\/i> – hierin müssen wir Rosa Luxemburg ganz ausdrücklich zustimmen. Deshalb möchten wir Sie dringlich bitten, in konstruktivem Dialog mit den Blockupy-Veranstaltern darauf hinzuwirken, dass es zu einer friedlichen Demonstration kommt,<\/p>\n
