\u201eWer in Haft kommt, hat sich etwas zuschulden kommen lassen.\u201c <\/i>Dieses weit verbreitete Vorurteil wird durch die Abschiebungshaft widerlegt. Zu Abschiebungshaft wird man nicht verurteilt, sie ist \u201eblo\u00df\u201c eine Verwaltungsma\u00dfnahme. Die trifft vor allem Fl\u00fcchtlinge, deren einziges \u201eVergehen\u201c darin besteht, dass sie keine g\u00fcltige Einreise- bzw. Aufenthaltserlaubnis vorweisen k\u00f6nnen. Abschiebungshaft widerspricht den Standards der Genfer Fl\u00fcchtlingskonvention \u2013 und geh\u00f6rt deshalb abgeschafft.<\/p>\n

Der Reader informiert umfassend \u00fcber das System der Abschiebungshaft: \u00fcber die H\u00e4ufigkeit ihrer Anordnung und die typischen Wege in die Haft; \u00fcber deren Wirkung auf die Betroffenen und die Situation in den Einrichtungen; \u00fcber die europ\u00e4ischen wie nationalen rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen f\u00fcr die Abschiebungshaft und die Schwierigkeiten des Rechtsschutzes. Daneben versteht sich der Reader auch als Beitrag zur politischen Debatte um die Notwendigkeit, Zul\u00e4ssigkeit und Angemessenheit der Abschiebungshaft. Die Herausgeber-Innen zeigen, was Abgeordnete wie zust\u00e4ndige MitarbeiterInnen der Verwaltung tun k\u00f6nnen, um die Haft weitgehend zu vermeiden oder dazu beizutragen, dass sie alsbald abgeschafft wird.<\/p>\n
