Hilde Rektorschek erhält das Marburger Leuchtfeuer für Soziale Bürgerrechte 2013. Die Preisverleihung findet am 10. Mai im Marburger Rathaus statt. Die Laudatio wird der langjährige Marburger Theaterintendant Ekkehard Dennewitz halten. Mit der Auszeichnung würdigt die Jury Rektorscheks Einsatz für sozial benachteiligte Menschen in gleich mehreren Bereichen. Insbesondere hat sie sich in herausragender Weise für das Menschenrecht auf Kultur eingesetzt.<\/p>\n
Rektorschek wurde 1947 in Marburg geboren. Schon während ihrer beruflichen Tätigkeit an der Philipps-Universität setzte sie sich in herausragenden Positionen – beispielsweise als Vorsitzende des Konvents und stellvertretende Senatspräsidentin – für die Rechte der Beschäftigten und eine hochwertige Bildung für alle ein. Nach mehrjährigem Engagement bei der Marburger Tafel gründete sie 2010 die Kulturloge Marburg, deren Vorsitzende sie seither ist. Auch den Vorsitz einer bundesweiten Vereinigung von Kulturlogen hat sie seit deren Gründung inne.<\/p>\n
Mit dem Marburger Leuchtfeuer würdigen die Universitätsstadt Marburg und die Humanistische Union herausragenden Einsatz für die gleichberechtigte Teilhabe aller Menschen am gesellschaftlichen Leben. Der Preis wird seit 2005 jährlich vergeben.<\/p>\n
