Mitteilungen Nr. 167, S. 83<\/p>\n

Die HU-Delegiertenkonferenz 1997 hatte beschlossen, sich – nach M\u00f6glichkeit zusammen mit Mehr Demokratie – f\u00fcr einen qualifizierten bundesweiten Volksentscheid einzusetzen, der inzwischen auch in der Koalitionsvereinbarung vorgesehen ist. Mehr Demokratie wurde hier\u00fcber informiert; es erfolgten auch erste Anfragen der Humanistischen Union zum Stand der Gesetzgebungsvorhaben. Mehr Demokratie er\u00f6ffnet nun die Diskussion \u00fcber den Gesetzentwurf zum bundesweiten Volksentscheid mit zwei Experten-Hearings. Am 20. November werden in Hamburg der Schweizer Politologe Prof. Silvano M\u00f6ckli, der Jurist Dr. Ulrich Glaser, der Leiter des wissenschaftlichen Instituts f\u00fcr direkte Demokratie, Andreas Gross und Ex-MdB Gerald H\u00e4fner zum Mehr Demokratie-Entwurf Stellung nehmen. Zwei Wochen sp\u00e4ter, am 4. Dezember findet in Frankfurt ein weiteres Hearing mit dem Juristen und Mitglied des Bayerischen Landtags Dr. Klaus Hahnzog, dem Richter Dr. Hermann Heu\u00dfner, dem Privatdozenten Dr. Otmar Jung und Prof. Dr. J\u00fcrgen Gebhardt statt.<\/p>\n

Mittlerweile unterst\u00fctzen 27 Verb\u00e4nde und Initiativen das Volksbegehren, darunter auch die Humanistische Union. Im Herbst werden zahlreiche weitere Organisationen \u00fcber eine Unterst\u00fctzung entscheiden. Mehr Demokratie arbeitet intensiv an einer Verbreiterung des B\u00fcndnisses und l\u00e4dt herzlich zu beiden Hearings ein.<\/p>\n
