Am 25.04.2024 stellten der Politikwissenschaftler Volker M. Heins<\/strong> und der Historiker Frank Wolff<\/strong> ihr Buch \u201eHinter Mauern. Geschlossene Grenzen als Gefahr f\u00fcr die offene Gesellschaft\u201c im Willy-Brandt-Haus L\u00fcbeck vor.<\/p>\n

In einem Vortrag zeigte Heins auf, welche Wirkung Mauern und die Abwehr von Migration \u201enach innen\u201c entfalten: Das Dr\u00e4ngen der EU auf \u201esichere Au\u00dfengrenzen\u201c untergr\u00e4bt das europ\u00e4ische Versprechen auf Frieden und Rechtsstaatlichkeit.<\/p>\n

Nach dem Vortrag sprachen Volker M. Heins und Frank Wolff mit Gallus Bischof, Universit\u00e4t zu L\u00fcbeck, \u00fcber Gefahren befestigter Grenzen f\u00fcr demokratische Werte und Strukturen.<\/p>\n

\u201eWir m\u00fcssen diese Bilder aushalten\u201c, sagte Sachsens Ministerpr\u00e4sident Michael Kretschmer im November 2021 angesichts frierender Gefl\u00fcchteter an der Grenze zwischen Polen und Belarus. Seine Worte machen deutlich, was oft in Vergessenheit ger\u00e4t: Grenzen sind nicht nur Hindernisse f\u00fcr Menschen, die sie von au\u00dferhalb \u00fcberwinden wollen. Sie ver\u00e4ndern auch die Gesellschaften, die sich abzuschotten versuchen.<\/p>\n
